Snowman applications: the best ideas. Volumetric applique "snowman" #1 Drawing a snowman

Hello everyone, today we will make a variety of applications with snowmen. You will see many new snowman applique templates. You can make these crafts from cardboard, paper, sheets of formiam, and these templates are also suitable for felt snowman crafts. We will start by showing what technologies for making crafts can be used in general (tear applique, with cotton wool, paper with cereals and bulk materials).
Each snowman template I enlarged to full A4 sheet size. This way you can immediately send pictures for printing and be sure that they will print in a good large size. Let's see what beautiful templates and crafts in the form of snowmen I have prepared for you in this article.

Snowman applique

FROM COTTON DISKS.

Ideas and templates.

The fastest way to apply is to use ready-made round cotton pads. Slap and you're done.

You can first draw a sketch of your future arrangement of disks on a sheet of paper... see what paper elements are laid out and how. For example, on the template below a good idea for applique from ready-made round disks of cotton wool, a paper scarf, a spout and snowflakes cut out of paper.

You can make one of the disks a little smaller by cutting it in a circle with scissors. And then here is a template for a beautiful applique made from cotton pads. We cut out the accompanying applique elements from paper or cardboard or felt.

Snowman appliques

with WATTON LAYER.

You can lay layers of cotton wool on the silhouette of a snowman with glue. The result will be a delicate voluminous application, fluffy, as if alive. Bright pieces of cardboard or colored paper will be used for a hat with trim, stars, a bright scarf, a broom, a Christmas tree, a sleigh, and buttons.

The blank silhouette for such a fluffy snowman can be anything. The main thing is that he must have a sufficiently voluminous belly and face to fit the cotton neatly without getting over the edges.

This snowman template is suitable for placing cotton on the face and tummy.

You can cut out a silhouette from cardboard and cover it with cotton wool. Make a support from cardboard at the back so that the snowman stands upright. The support is made according to the same principle as for desktop photo frames. Just a folded tail of cardboard.

This snowman template is suitable for snow applique. Quite large areas of the head and many bright paper elements.

Application SNOWMAN

for kindergarten.

In kindergarten, children really love the snowman applique, whose belly is shaped like a paper snowflake. Beautiful bright applique. It is best to do it against a dark background so that the openwork of the snowflake is clearly visible.

Also in elementary school or kindergarten, children love to make cut-out appliqués

You can add plasticine elements to the applique with a snowman, as in the photo below.

PORTRAIT applique of a snowman.

Your craft can be a PORTRAIT - just a snowman's head, a hat and a colorful luxurious scarf.

Volumetric applique SNOWMAN.
Ideas for kindergarten and school.

In kindergarten, the snowman applique can be supplemented with interesting elements - which will protrude forward above the surface of the sheet. For example, it could be a book, a pine cone, a three-dimensional Christmas tree.

You can also make all the elements of the snowman convex - from rolls of paper. We simply cut strips of paper, the child rolls it into a roll and fixes it with glue with a pencil. Three rolls are like three snowman balls. All that remains is to add the pens and the cap.

And a foam ball cut in half will also create a three-dimensional effect for your New Year's appliqué with a snowman.

You can make a fluffy three-dimensional Christmas tree from napkins or crepe paper and insert it into the snowman applique.

Applications with a snowman
Pear-shaped templates.

Beautiful applications with snowmen can be made simply from bright colored paper using interesting templates. As you already understood, the image of a snowman is not necessarily three round pieces of paper. The snowman's body shape could be more interesting. For example, pear-shaped, as in the craft below.

Here are the PEAR shaped snowmen templates.

Snowmen with twigs in their hands.
Templates for application.

Here are some beautiful templates where the snowman's hands are depicted in the form of tree branches. You can cut out branches from cardboard, twist them from wire, or use real pieces of branches, a natural material.

Snowmen with snowy hands.

Snowmen whose hands are NOT TRANCHES, but made of snow, look very beautiful. Plump snowy hands, as in the photo with the applique below.

Snowmen appliques

with hands not glued.

Appliques with snowmen look beautiful, where the arms are not glued to the body, but protrude from the background of the applique. As in the photo below.

In such folding handles you can insert an object, a Christmas tree, candy, a pine cone, or a sign with New Year's greetings.

Here are templates with ideas on how you can design such snowman hands on paper appliqué.

Subject applications with snowmen.
Beautiful templates.

Beautiful bright applications with snowmen can have an interesting plot; other characters can be involved in the paintings - New Year's or just forest dwellers.

Here are some ideas for a beautiful applique with snowmen. You can choose any template - they are all A4 size. But you can reduce them if necessary. Just copy the picture with the mouse, paste it into a blank sheet of Word, and make the image smaller by dragging the corner of the picture with the mouse. And after that, send for printing the size that is convenient for your purposes.
You can also copy a picture WITHOUT A PRINTER - simply by placing a sheet of paper on the glowing monitor screen, the picture will shine through onto the paper and you will trace the contours of the snowman with a pencil. Then with a black felt-tip pen to make it more visible.

The New Year is just around the corner. Absolutely everyone, especially children, is looking forward to this holiday! We associate New Year with snow and all the accompanying winter fun: sleds, skis, ice skates and, of course, the snow woman. As soon as the first snow falls, children run into the courtyards to build a snowman.

What to do if there is no snow, but your soul requires a snowy friend? Nothing is impossible in the world, especially on the eve of the New Year! You can make a real snowman not only from snow, and in this article we will tell you in detail and even show you how!

And for the snowman we just need white paper. And secondly, paper crafts are quite simple and easy to make.

#1 Draw a snowman

Here's a great craft idea for kindergarten - a snowman in a snow globe. You need to cut out two simple blanks from colored paper; by the way, kids can easily do it on their own; the elements are large and do not require special care. And then draw a snowman and snowfall in the ball with your fingers. The snowman craft for kindergarten is ready!

Here's another craft idea for little ones. In this case, snowmen are drawn using plastic bottle caps. You need two plugs of different sizes (larger and smaller). Spread it with white paint and make an imprint. Draw in the face, handles and buttons with felt-tip pens when the paint is completely dry. A hat and scarf can be made from colored tape, colored paper or felt, for example.

But here is a slightly more complex option with small decorative elements. You can download the template of the snowman and decorative elements below the picture.

# Vytynanki

If you have never heard of vytynankas, then it’s time to get acquainted with this type of needlework. What are these same vytynanki - these are carved patterns made of paper. Moreover, you can cut out not only abstract patterns, but also entire concrete compositions. Vytynki often decorate the windows of schools, kindergartens, shops and office buildings. Winter compositions look especially beautiful. This is probably why it is customary for us to decorate windows with cutouts during the New Year holidays. Snowmen treats

You can also decorate the New Year's table with snowmen. Themed treats are especially relevant for children's parties. So if you are planning a big children's party, be sure to pay attention to snowmen in the form of treats.

An unusual delicacy awaits guests, made from salted rings and white chocolate. You will need: chewing toffee, a ring, chocolate (white and dark). Place the toffee on parchment and drop a little melted chocolate in the center. Then place the rings in this place and secure with chocolate again. Fill the rings themselves with chocolate and decorate with chocolate chips (eyes, nose, mouth, buttons). Wait until the chocolate hardens and wrap the scarf in toffee. The treats will come off the parchment very easily. All that remains is to place the snowmen on a plate!

And here are snowmen on a stick. To prepare you will need sandwich cookies, white chocolate, chocolate chips and red round candies. Place the cookies on a stick and dip them in chocolate. Immediately decorate with chocolate chips and red candy and send to dry. You can put it on parchment to dry, the chocolate will not stick or rub off.

And to prepare such a treat you will need: chocolate (white and dark), bread sticks, marmalade for the nose. First, dip each stick in white chocolate and place it tightly together on parchment paper. Wait until completely dry. Afterwards, dip this design in dark chocolate (for the hat), draw eyes, a mouth and put marmalade on the nose. Wait for it to dry and you can try!

This delicious gift can be decorated as a snowman. You will need powdered sugar donuts, a plastic bag, red ribbon, black paper, and a marker. You can buy donuts at the store or make your own. Well, then everything is simple: place it in a bag, tie it with a ribbon (like a scarf), stick on a headdress and draw a face. A great gift for a work colleague!

But a special treat is melted snowmen. Take a cookie, place chewing marshmallows (marshmallows) on it, cover with foil and place in the oven for a few minutes. The marshmallow will melt a little. Now put a second marshmallow on top, draw a face and decorate with marmalade or candies. Use toothpicks as handles.

More desserts for the New Year:

Snowmen Christmas balls

You can make a snowman with your own hands from Christmas balls. For such a craft, you will need either a special blank or an old Christmas tree ball. Below are several master classes on making snowmen from Christmas tree balls with your own hands.

To make such a snowman you will need a ball blank, an old sock, acrylic paint (or gouache), and a marker. Cut the sock and put it on the ball. Pour a little paint inside the ball and twist the workpiece so that the paint evenly covers the inside of the ball walls. Tie the sock at the top and draw eyes, nose and mouth for the snowman. The Christmas tree toy snowman is ready!

Here is another simple option for making a Christmas tree toy in the shape of a snowman with your own hands. To make it you will need a ball blank, foam balls or white beads, and a marker. Fill the blank with foam or white beads to the top, close the ball and draw a face. The New Year's snowman ball is ready!

Here is another variation on the theme of foam balls or beads. The only difference between this MK and the previous one is the decor of the ball itself, i.e. snowman. In this craft, the Snowman is additionally decorated with warm headphones. As an option, you can put on him a hat, a cap, or a more traditional option for us - a bucket.

But here is approximately the same snowman made from a Christmas ball, only artificial snow is poured inside the blank.

Here is a great craft option for kids. Kids don’t yet know how to draw properly, but they can definitely decorate a Christmas ball with snowmen made from fingerprints. For detailed MK, see the photo below.

This option is suitable for those who do not have a blank, but have a regular, undecorated Christmas ball.

Snowmen made from scrap materials

It often happens that you want to get creative, but there is nothing at hand. Some people get upset and leave this idea until better times, while others look for other opportunities. And that’s right; you can make crafts with your own hands from a variety of different and sometimes unexpected materials, which are sure to be found in every home. Now we will talk about such crafts.

#1 Snowmen made from cotton pads

It is difficult to find a woman or girl who does not have cotton pads. And they make wonderful New Year’s crafts, especially when it comes to snowmen. The cotton pad initially has the correct round shape, so there is no need to cut anything out.

To create the volume of the craft, you can put a little ordinary cotton wool between the disks. Then the craft will resemble a miniature soft toy.

With kids, you can make appliqués from cotton pads, frame them like a picture, or make, for example, a postcard for grandma or dad.

More crafts from cotton pads:

If you can’t find cotton pads, cotton balls are also suitable for crafts. As a last resort, just tear small pieces of ordinary cotton wool and glue. It will be even more interesting.

Well, how exactly to glue the cotton wool is up to you to decide. Use your imagination, and the ice cream snowman is the limit!

#2 Paper plate snowmen

Cool crafts can be made from ordinary paper plates. You will find a step-by-step master class on making a snowman-skier below. Both toddlers and older children will enjoy this craft.

And here is a simpler option: a triangle snowman. Ideal for kindergarten.

Or, for example, another simple snowman with your own hands, which can be made with children of kindergarten age. Simple, fast, cute!

And of course a shiny snowman. We have all seen how the snow shimmers in the sun. To make our snowman shimmer like this, we will cover it with coarse salt. A couple of buttons for the eyes, a couple for the blush - and the snowman is ready!

#3 Snowmen made from paper cups

From available materials, paper cups are also suitable for making a snowman. Additionally, for decoration you will need several strips of felt, a pom-pom and fluffy wire. See step-by-step photo instructions below.

#4 Snowmen made from plastic cups

You can also make a snowman with your own hands from plastic cups. The statue turns out to be huge and is better suited for street decor. So if there is no snow, gather the kids from the yard and make the whole yard a snowman without snow! Snow and snow, but there should be a festive mood no matter what!

#5 Snowman made from plastic bottles

By the way, great snowmen are made from ordinary plastic bottles. So if you collect your garbage separately, the time has finally come for plastic bottles. Go decor! By the way, snowmen made from plastic bottles can be used as pins for playing New Year's bowling! Sign the number of points on each snowman and the whole family will truly enjoy the New Year holidays!

#7 Salt dough snowmen

If you haven’t found anything suitable for crafts, then it’s time to start making salt dough crafts. Real sculptors definitely have a place to roam here. Well, kids can make crafts using fingerprints.

#8 Snowmen made from old light bulbs

You can use old burnt out light bulbs as a handy material for making a New Year's snowman craft. A little glue, glitter and an old unnecessary light bulb turns into an original snowman!

Today our guest is Alla, an additional education teacher from the city of Saransk, with her master class “Snowman in the Forest” for children of preschool and primary school age.

Materials needed for work: cotton pads, colored cardboard, colored paper, artificial “snow” for crafts, semolina, PVA glue and cotton swabs, scissors, Christmas tree templates.

For the background it is best to use blue or light blue cardboard.

Master class “Applique “Snowman in the forest”

1. First stage– talk with children about winter, show colorful pictures with winter landscapes, snowflakes, trees covered in frost. Then ask riddles about the snow woman and the snowman. Show the finished craft and, together with the children, find out what each part is made of.

Then give the children three cotton pads and explain how to glue them on top of each other to make three even circles that look like a snowman.

While all the parts of the snowman are being glued, you can read a winter-themed fairy tale to the children. Or you can play fun outdoor games, warm up, sing a song, dance.

2. Second stage– working with small parts. You need to roll two black plasticine balls and glue them in the place for the eyes. Then roll out a carrot-shaped nose from orange plasticine and also glue it in the center of the topmost cotton pad.

Buttons and a mouth can be cut out of colored paper and attached with PVA glue. Cut out a funny bucket from bright colored cardboard and glue it onto the snowman’s head. The whisk is also cut out of colored paper, and the broom is not completely glued.

At the very end, using scissors, you need to make small branches of the broom. Make sure that the cuts do not extend further than the middle. Then the panicle will be voluminous and more beautiful. After the complex and small parts are ready, you can again warm up a little and relax. For example, do finger exercises or ask children riddles.

3. Third stage– cutting out a three-dimensional Christmas tree. It is necessary to distribute templates made of thick cardboard to the children in advance. They need to be pressed tightly onto colored green paper and outlined with a simple pencil. There should be three such templates.

Then each part must be bent in half and glued together. The wrong side of the Christmas tree needs to be firmly glued next to the snowman to the base. You need to make a path from “artificial snow” at the bottom of the picture using glue.

And the final stage is to use cotton pads and glue to depict a falling snowball throughout the picture, then sprinkle semolina on top, and after a few minutes shake it off thoroughly. All! A beautiful winter picture is ready!

Children love appliqués, especially those with a winter theme – they will love the snowman. We have made for you a selection of the best ideas with photos and videos that are easy to repeat with your own hands. They differ from each other in materials. You will learn how to make a snowman applique from cardboard, cotton pads, felt, cereal, eggshells, cotton wool and much more.

All snowman applications are suitable for crafts for school or kindergarten. You will have to prepare some materials. But most of the winter crafts will still be on the child. You may also need snowman stencils, as it will be easier to make appliques with them. We advise you to look at our selection of templates, which contains many interesting options. Change any of these master classes on creating an applique to suit yourself, depending on the template and size of the desired craft.

From newspapers

A simple applique of a snowman made from newspaper strips looks funny and very interesting. It can become an independent craft or part of a larger composition.

We will need:

  • cardboard;
  • colored paper;
  • newspapers;
  • plastic eyes.

If you have a paper shredder, this will be easier for you. If you don't have one, you'll have to cut the newspapers yourself. Draw a snowman on cardboard and coat the outline with a glue stick - this is a blank for the applique. Now glue the strips, but not completely, but at one end. Sometimes leave the second one free, and sometimes glue it.

Make the snowman twig arms and a hat from black cardboard. Make a face out of colored paper. You can add plastic eyes and buttons made of fluffy wire or pieces of colored cotton wool.

You can draw snowflakes and snowdrifts around the snowman or add sparkles to the winter applique.

From felt

This application is more likely not a craft for a child, but an educational game for the little ones. It’s better for you to cut out the details, and then you can make compositions together with the children.

We will need:

  • fleece or felt;
  • multi-colored felt;
  • stencils.

First draw the details on paper. The easiest way to do this is using stencils. If you choose simple figures, you can easily cope without them.

Transfer the details onto felt. Cut them out one by one. Complete the picture with additional details using a marker. It is better to cut out even the smallest parts of the applique (for example, the nose of a snowman) separately so that the child can assemble the picture like a puzzle.

If desired, you can glue a small piece of Velcro to each part (to the background too) so that the picture is assembled and secured.

From paper napkins

Even from ordinary napkins you can make an excellent snowman applique. The child will benefit from both the process and the result.

We will need:

  • cardboard;
  • napkin;
  • PVA glue;
  • colored paper.

Draw the outline of the snowman using a stencil or yourself. Tear the napkin into small pieces. Coat part of the figure with glue and sprinkle it with napkins. You just need to pour it in, not press it in, otherwise the napkin will get wet.

Complete the picture with details made from colored paper. This applique can easily be turned into a three-dimensional postcard or a beautiful painting.

From lace napkins

The charming airy snowman will look at least not outdated on the applique. It is unlikely that anyone else will bring such a craft to kindergarten or school - it is very unobvious.

We will need:

  • cardboard;
  • 2 napkins;
  • colored paper;
  • rhinestones, snowflakes;
  • buttons;
  • plastic eyes.

Use a glue stick to avoid getting the napkins wet and ruining the applique. Place two napkins in the center, make small parts from colored paper, add external decor (it is better to attach plastic with superglue).

Show the picture from this master class to your child so that he can repeat the snowman appliqué with his own hands.

Made from plasticine

If your child likes to sculpt with plasticine, he will like this applique. Moreover, white plasticine, as a rule, always turns out to be the most unclaimed in the box - and this is where it comes in handy.

We will need:

  • cardboard;
  • paints;
  • plasticine;
  • buttons;
  • cotton wool;
  • any decor;
  • sparkles.

Take cardboard and paint it blue. Glue the cotton wool to the bottom using PVA glue. Cut out 3 circles from cardboard. Cover each of them with plasticine. Stack them on top of each other. You can glue them with superglue or a small piece of plasticine from the inside.

Complete the picture with small details. Sprinkle some parts with glitter to make the snow look like it's sparkling.

This voluminous applique snowman in itself can be considered a full-fledged craft on a winter theme. Even just hanging it at home will be great.

From eggshell

Don't throw away eggshells - they can be used to make excellent mosaic appliques. It's very simple, and the craft turns out to be interesting.

We will need:

  • cardboard;
  • stencil;
  • eggshell;
  • PVA glue;
  • paints.

If the child is small, you can use a ready-made picture from a coloring book or simply print out a snowman template for applique. It is better to take the shell from a boiled egg - it is cleaner.

Coat the parts with PVA glue and simply lay the shells on them. It's okay if gaps are visible. The snowman can be painted completely or in parts. It is better to use gouache.

Add additional decor with a felt-tip pen or decorate the applique with sparkles.

From cotton wool

A snowman made from cotton wool turns out to be cheerful and fluffy. This is one of the best imitations of snow.

We will need:

  • cardboard;
  • cotton wool;
  • colored paper;
  • PVA glue.

Draw a snowman using any template you have chosen for the applique. Make snow first. Apply glue to the image. Fluff the cotton wool and glue it piece by piece. Next, do the same for the entire snowman. Then make a snowfall. Complete the craft with details made from colored paper or cardboard.

Glitter can be a beautiful imitation of snowflakes or sparkling snow.

From paper

Paper applique is a simple way to please your child with an interesting game. You can prepare it according to any template in the form of a snowman and other winter characters and pictures.

We will need:

  • cardboard;
  • paper;
  • marker;
  • colour pencils.

First, draw all the details on paper. This can be done without stencils - just by hand. You can use the snowman template from this master class.

Trace the outline with a thick marker. Color the images with colored pencils. Cut out the parts and glue the snowman onto thick cardboard.

This applique can be an excellent basis for a postcard. Or just a fun game for children.

From cotton pads

The good thing about the snowman applique made from cotton pads is that you don’t need to prepare anything special for it – it’s simple.

We will need:

  • cardboard;
  • 4-5 cotton pads;
  • any decor;
  • colored paper.

Cotton pads need to be divided into two parts. Use one circle completely, reduce the second one a little, and make the third one very small. Glue the discs to the cardboard - the blank for the snowman applique is ready.

Take the remaining disks, divide them in half, and then cut them. Roll the cotton wool, which usually serves as a small filler, into circles - these will be snowballs on the applique.

Make all small parts from cardboard or colored paper. Cut out a few paper snowflakes, add pieces of tinsel or glitter - your winter applique is ready!

From cereals

Previously, we already told you how to properly make paintings from cereals with your own hands. If you've never dyed bulk products before, check out the instructions. However, to make an applique of a snowman from cereals, you can simply take semolina or rice (what is already white) and draw the details.

We will need:

  • cereal;
  • gouache;
  • cardboard;
  • PVA glue;
  • any decor.

Take any snowman template for applique and transfer it to cardboard. The cereal can be pre-painted and dried. Next, coat the cardboard with glue and cover it with semolina or rice (you can use other cereals).

Once the glue has dried, you can add pieces of colored paper or cardboard. If desired, the application can be tinted with gouache. But be careful - the glue and the cereal itself (especially semolina) are very easy to soak.

Decorate the picture with decorative elements such as tinsel or plastic stars.

From foam plastic

A three-dimensional applique of a snowman can be made from pieces of foam plastic. You will get a complete picture. A child of primary school age can easily cope with this craft under your supervision.

Watch this simple and visual video master class, which shows how to properly make a snowman applique from polystyrene foam with your own hands. If you wish, you can replace the foam with figures made using the papier-mâché technique (look

A cheerful three-dimensional snowman made of paper will decorate your Christmas tree during the New Year holidays. This is a craft for children that can be done by kindergarten children of senior or preparatory groups, and, of course, by junior schoolchildren who can make such a snowman on their own, even without the help of adults. If you don’t yet have a single handmade Christmas tree decoration, let’s do it urgently, the New Year is already close!

Master class paper snowman

This is the snowman and this is how he will show off on your Christmas tree :)

To make a three-dimensional snowman, we will need: white paper, pencil, compass, scissors, glue, felt-tip pens, string or thin ribbon, beads.

On a piece of paper, using a compass, draw 2 circles on top of each other, one slightly smaller than the other. You should get the body of a snowman together with his head (the circles are “moulded”), like his silhouette. And we also draw 16 circles of exactly the same diameter as the bottom circle in the snowman’s body. To make your work easier, you can fold a sheet of white paper in half 3 times, draw 2 circles and cut out in this folded form. We will just get 16 circles - 8 for one half of the ball, 8 for the second.

We fold the rope in half and glue it to the silhouette detail. Glue the second part of the silhouette on top so that the rope is inside the snowman. We decorate the ends of the rope with beads. For now, we put this finished part of the snowman aside.

Let's take circles. Fold each circle in half. Glue 2 circles together, placing the halves next to each other. Then glue the next circle in the same way and so on 8 circles. You will get half a ball. Similarly, from the remaining circles we make the second half of the ball.

We glue the first half of the ball to one side of the snowman’s body, turn it over backwards, glue the second half of the ball, we get a round body.
