Chocolate cosmetology is becoming increasingly popular among lovers of homemade skin care products. Caffeine, which is part of real chocolate with a high cocoa content, stimulates blood flow, normalizes biochemical processes, and provides a lifting effect. Properly cooked chocolate peeling or a scrub is also an anti-stress product that stimulates the production of endorphins and relieves muscle tension.

Care compositions are quite easy to prepare at home; you just need to take into account some of the features of chocolate peeling. Then, carrying out the procedure once a week guarantees high-quality cleaning and nutrition of the epidermis, saturation of cells with useful substances and vitamins, and gentle removal of keratinized scales. In addition, it affects the functioning of capillaries, relaxation of the muscle layer, breakdown of fats and correction of facial contours.

Do not forget that chocolate peeling is a type of aromatherapy, therefore it ensures both local and global effects of the product on the body.

When using a chocolate scrub or peeling, the following factors must be taken into account:

  • Regular chocolate bars are not suitable for making mixtures; they contain too many dyes, additives and preservatives. It is better to use loose chocolate with a high cocoa content. In this case, the cells will receive the required amount of magnesium, iron and copper;
  • Regardless of what type of care is used, chocolate peeling or scrub, it is recommended to do a light massage during the procedure. This will increase the elasticity of the epidermis, accelerate the breakdown of fats and the removal of toxins from tissues;
  • It is recommended to apply the compositions after preliminary cleaning and steaming of the epidermis;
  • Despite your skin type, chocolate treatments should not be performed more than 1-2 times a week. With more frequent use of products, the epidermis loses its protective properties and becomes thinner;
  • To prepare the scrub, grated, melted and cooled chocolate or cocoa powder is usually used, and chocolate peeling will give maximum effect if the base is slightly melted before application (but not overheated) and used warm.

Chocolate peeling: recipes

Honey peeling with cocoa and cane sugar

We dilute a tablespoon of cocoa powder with a tablespoon of honey. Lightly fry a tablespoon of cane sugar in a frying pan and quickly add it to the honey-chocolate mixture. Heat the product in a water bath, stirring constantly, add a teaspoon of linseed or corn oil and five drops of your favorite essential oil according to the type of epidermis. Using the resulting mass, do a light facial massage for three minutes, after which we leave the composition for 10 minutes. We wash our face first with warm, then cool water. Oil-based chocolate peeling refreshes, cleanses and rejuvenates the face, evening out its color and texture. Dry skin receives the necessary nutrition, problematic skin gets rid of inflammation, oily skin gets rid of oily shine.

Mix two tablespoons of cocoa powder or grated dark chocolate with a tablespoon of ground coffee or coffee grounds. Add a tablespoon of ground oatmeal. If chocolate was used as the main component, then heat the composition in a water bath until it melts, cool slightly and apply to the skin with massage movements. Leave the mixture until dry and remove with warm water. If cocoa powder was used, then to give the composition the desired thickness, use liquid honey, butter or milk. This chocolate peeling also acts as a mask and scrub at the same time. It softens and exfoliates the stratum corneum, smoothes wrinkles, relieves inflammation, normalizes complexion, and neutralizes signs of stress and fatigue.

Classic chocolate peeling

Melt several bars of dark chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 80% in a water bath, dilute it halfway with milk, and mix well. If the mass is very hot, cool it to the optimal temperature and apply it to the face with a special brush. Don't rub your skin! After 10 minutes, remove the composition with a damp cotton pad and wash. This chocolate peeling not only cleanses, but also tones, refreshes and invigorates the epidermis. Relieves the face of bruises, swelling, irregularities and swelling. The composition rejuvenates the skin and evens out its color, sebaceous plugs and comedones disappear without leaving marks.

Chocolate scrub: recipes

If you don’t have the time or desire to visit a spa, and your skin needs a pleasant and effective cleansing procedure, you should try a chocolate scrub: the recipes for the products are simple, they can be easily prepared at home. The compositions can be used all year round, but they are most useful in winter, when the lack of vitamins and the negative impact of weather conditions are so obvious.

To prepare the scrub, you just need to mix two components: chocolate butter and granulated sugar. There should be twice as much butter as sugar. Before the composition begins to melt intensively, apply it to the skin with light massage movements. Continue the massage for at least five minutes, then rinse with warm water. This product supplies cells with moisture, minerals, and microelements. As a result of increased blood circulation, skin tone increases, wrinkles are smoothed out, and folds are tightened. The oil base helps protect the surface of the face from the influence of adverse weather conditions and temperature changes.

Chocolate scrub to accelerate facial weight loss

Combine a teaspoon of liquid honey and olive oil. Add half a teaspoon each of vanilla sugar, cane sugar and a teaspoon of cocoa powder. Mix the mixture well and use it to scrub your face. We especially carefully work on problem areas with significant accumulation of fat deposits. After three to five minutes of massage, remove the mixture, wash your face with cool water and treat with an ice cube. Exposure to low temperatures helps prevent sagging skin folds after lipid breakdown. Increased blood circulation, which is the result of the procedure, accelerates the breakdown of subcutaneous fat and the removal of toxins, launches the processes of rejuvenation and tissue regeneration.

The proposed chocolate scrub is recommended to be used simultaneously to care for the skin of the face and the entire body. Mix two tablespoons of liquid honey and sea salt. Add three tablespoons of dark chocolate, grated on the finest grater. Add a teaspoon of grape seed oil. Mix everything until it becomes a homogeneous paste without lumps. Before the composition begins to separate into layers, apply it to the face and body, rubbing it with massage movements without strong pressure. Leave the mixture for five minutes, then remove with plenty of water. It is recommended to expose your face and body to the elastic shower jets for a couple of minutes; this will additionally affect blood flow and increase the elasticity of the epidermis. Chocolate scrub with grape oil moisturizes the skin, smoothes its surface, restores firmness and elasticity. The outflow of blood and lymph improves, metabolic processes are normalized, inflammation, redness, and acne disappear.

Scrub with chocolate and coffee for deep cleansing of the epidermis

Melt a couple of large squares of dark chocolate in a water bath. Mix two teaspoons of low-fat cream with two tablespoons of coffee grounds. Add the resulting mass to the melted chocolate, remove from heat and whisk until smooth and thick sour cream. During this time, the product will cool slightly and become warm and pleasant to the touch. Apply the scrub to problem areas that need thorough cleaning and massage the skin. Due to simultaneous thermal, chemical and mechanical effects, the composition cleanses, polishes, nourishes and rejuvenates the epidermis. After the procedure, a light pleasant aroma emanates from the skin, which lasts up to several hours. The face becomes smooth, clean and fresh.

Melt two bars of dark chocolate with high cocoa content in a water bath and remove from heat. Add a teaspoon of sea salt and two tablespoons of milk into the mixture. Stir the mixture until it becomes homogeneous and cools to room temperature. Grind the nuts in a coffee grinder. For oily and problem skin - walnuts or almonds, for normal and dry skin - cedar or hazelnuts. Apply a thin layer of scrub to the skin. We wet our fingers in the chocolate mixture, put them in a container with nuts and adhered abrasive particles and begin to massage our face. The effect of nuts and salt provides a multi-level massage. Chocolate scrub with abrasive particles of various sizes and hardness allows for superficial cleansing and polishing of the face, deep cleansing of pores by pushing dirt to the surface, thorough treatment of deep tissues and activation of metabolic processes.

Cleansing salt scrub for sensitive skin

Melt several chocolate bars with a cocoa content of 60-70% in a water bath, remove from heat and mix in equal proportions with heavy cream. Add a teaspoon of fine table salt, mix again and cleanse your face with the resulting product for at least three minutes. If your skin condition allows, you can leave the mixture on your face for about five minutes, then wash it off with warm water. After the procedure, the face does not need additional hydration and nutrition. Chocolate scrub with low cocoa content does not cause irritation, provides superficial cleansing, moisturizes the epidermis and accelerates the healing of inflammation.

Multi-component chocolate scrub for tired skin

Melt four squares of dark chocolate in a water bath, add half a glass of sugar, stir and immediately remove - the sugar should not completely dissolve. While the mixture has not cooled down, add two tablespoons of almond oil and mix thoroughly so that a multi-layered substance does not form. If the mixture is too thick, you can add more oil. When the desired consistency is achieved, add a couple of drops of mint oil and the contents of one vitamin E capsule to the product. Mix everything well again. Place the scrub in a container, seal it tightly and put it in the refrigerator. This chocolate scrub must be used daily until the product runs out. After a full course of procedures, the skin will be tightened, filled with energy and vitality, and its texture and color will be evened out. Wrinkles will become less noticeable, the problem of inflammation, sebaceous plugs and acne will disappear.

Grind the dried peels of one orange in a coffee grinder until smooth. Grate four chocolate bars with at least 75% cocoa content on the finest grater. Add a couple of tablespoons of orange flour to the chocolate (by the way, the flour should exude a citrus aroma, this indicates that the peels have not dried out). Add a couple of teaspoons of rich sour cream to the mixture, mix well and apply to the skin with massage movements. If there are no pronounced inflammatory processes on the skin, then the composition can be heated in a water bath. In any case, you can apply it only after it has cooled. Chocolate scrub with ascorbic acid restores the water balance of the epidermis, eliminates areas of flaking, gently polishes the surface of the face and restores its healthy color.

A healthy lifestyle, regular rest and moderate physical activity work wonders; people look great even at an advanced age.

How to make a chocolate scrub

You can use cocoa powder, grated or melted chocolate as a base for making a scrub. If you use crushed chocolate, then you should add ingredients that moisturize the skin to the product, since the sweet shavings act as an exfoliating component.

Features of preparing chocolate scrub:

  • If the recipe uses liquid chocolate, heat the treat exclusively in a water bath. When overheated, the fats that make up the confectionery product change their structure and turn into carcinogens.
  • To prepare the scrub, use only loose chocolate, which is used for confectionery glaze. It contains the least amount of additives and vegetable fats. The percentage of cocoa beans in it is the highest.
  • When preparing a scrub with grated chocolate, freeze the product first. Add the remaining ingredients after cooling them first. In these recipes, the chocolate should not melt, as it is used as an exfoliant.
  • To make a melted chocolate scrub, choose eggshells, chopped nuts, ground coffee and sea salt as an exfoliant. In such recipes, chocolate nourishes and moisturizes the skin. Grains of nuts and coffee beans gently remove the dead skin layer.
  • If you have oily skin, do not use olive oil as a nutritional supplement. The ideal option is rice oil or grape seed extract.

Rules for using chocolate scrub

Don't use a chocolate-based scrub too often. This is especially true for dry and sensitive skin. Despite the benefits of this remedy, you must adhere to certain rules.

Features of using a scrub with chocolate:

  1. If you have dry skin, apply the substance only once a week. Those with oily epidermis can use the product 2-3 times a week.
  2. The body product can be used every other day. Before doing this, it is advisable to take a hot shower. In this case, the pores will open and the skin will be able to fully absorb the healing components of chocolate.
  3. Carry out the procedure at night. After using the product, the skin is very susceptible to sunlight and strong wind. In the summer, after scrubbing, do not go outside for 2-3 hours. The epidermis loses moisture very quickly and becomes wrinkled.
  4. Scrub your body for 5-10 minutes. Delicate facial skin does not require such long massage. 2-5 minutes are enough for dead skin particles to completely peel off.
  5. In winter, give preference to scrubs with melted chocolate. They better nourish and moisturize the skin. Before going outside, apply cream against strong winds and frost.
  6. If you want to lose a little weight with the help of chocolate, after active massaging, cover your body with film and insulate it with a blanket. This will improve the penetration of medicinal components into the deeper layers of the skin. After use, be sure to apply anti-cellulite cream.

Cleanses our skin well, making it soft and silky.

Among other things, the chocolate scrub contains cocoa powder. It contains a high content of vitamin F, which saturates our skin with fatty acids that can restore cell structure. Cocoa contains polyphenols that can neutralize free radicals. This means that cocoa prevents aging.

To prepare the chocolate scrub you will need:

Ground coffee - two tablespoons.
Cocoa powder – two tablespoons.
Natural honey - one tablespoon.
Olive oil - two tablespoons.
Granulated sugar - two tablespoons.
Vanillin.
Essential oil – five to six drops. Choose oil according to your taste.

Mix ground coffee with cocoa powder in a bowl. It is advisable to grind the coffee finer in a coffee grinder, as it acts as exfoliating particles. It perfectly cleanses the skin, eliminating dying cells, thereby opening pores and removing toxins.

Add two tablespoons of granulated sugar to this mixture. Cane sugar is recommended. But if you don’t have it, use the regular one, it’s no worse. Thanks to sugar, the skin will receive the necessary nutrition and hydration. Almost immediately it will become elastic, tender and smooth.

Now you need to add a connecting link. This is olive oil and honey. These components perfectly nourish and moisturize our skin. Olive oil nourishes the skin with vitamin E, perfectly regenerates and softens it. Natural honey is a storehouse of vitamins and microelements; it has no equal. It has the most beneficial effect on our skin, making it velvety and elastic. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.

The scrub is ready. But to make sure your body smells like your favorite scent after using it, add a little of your favorite essential oil or vanilla or cinnamon to the mixture. This is the easiest way to cheer yourself up.

Before the beach season, a chocolate scrub will help bring your body back to normal. It exfoliates dead cells, nourishes the skin, and moisturizes it. As a result, the dermis becomes soft and smooth, natural oils in cocoa will restore elasticity to the skin, and caffeine will break up fat capsules and reduce the appearance of cellulite. And chocolate scrub is a good way to relax. If you add essential oils, then the aromatherapy effect will be added.

Immediately after using chocolate in a body scrub, there is a noticeable decrease in swelling: the product removes excess water perfectly, reducing the volume by a centimeter or two. And the body will look more toned, because elastin production and metabolic processes are activated.

Regular use of chocolate treasures will restore skin tone and age spots will disappear.

However, the remedy is not universal and there are a number of contraindications. One of them is heart disease. If you have high blood pressure, chocolate for the body is contraindicated. Cocoa stimulates blood flow. As a result, the pressure increases, and this is dangerous.

Gynecological ailments, psoriasis, seborrhea, eczema - these diseases make it impossible to perform a chocolate scrub. If the integrity of the skin is compromised, you will have to abandon the procedure: an allergic reaction is possible in inflamed areas. Chocolate scrubs are strictly contraindicated if you are allergic to cocoa beans.

Chocolate scrubs are a popular service in spa centers and salons. But it’s easy to prepare such a product as chocolate for the body at home: the ingredients are accessible and inexpensive. And the effect will not be less.

Let's start with preparation. Cleanse and steam the skin. To do this, let's lie in a hot bath for a few minutes. It is excellent to carry out the procedure in a sauna or bathhouse. There are several varieties of chocolate scrubs. These include recipes with melted chocolate and cocoa powder.

If you take chocolate for the body, it is not milk chocolate. The cocoa content in it must be at least 70 percent. To prepare, melt the chocolate in a water bath. It is better to use the chocolate used to prepare the glaze: it contains more cocoa beans.

To prepare a scrub with grated chocolate, freeze the bar. We also cool the remaining components before adding them to the recipe. Chocolate for the body acts as an exfoliant, so it should not melt. For oily skin, it is better not to take olive oil. Ideally, we replace it with grape seed or rice oil.

We use the chocolate scrub every other day. It is better to carry out the procedure at night. In summer, it is not advisable to go outside immediately after a scrub: the skin is too susceptible to wind and sun. We scrub the body for five to ten minutes. In cold weather, before going out, apply cream to the body against severe frost and wind.

If the goal of the procedure is to reduce volume, we intensively massage the body, cover it with film and wrap it in a blanket. This way the healing components will better penetrate deeper. Be sure to apply anti-cellulite cream after the scrub.

Chocolate scrub recipes

For a classic scrub, mix one part sugar and two parts dark melted chocolate. Massage the mixture into the body with light circular movements for five minutes, rinse with warm, not hot, water.

To the coffee grounds, add a bar of dark chocolate melted in a water bath and milliliters of orange oil. Mix the mixture and place it on the skin for five minutes. We massage problem areas while washing off the composition.

Freeze one hundred grams of dark chocolate. Grate the delicacy or grind it in a blender. Add forty grams of sea salt and thirty grams of liquid honey to the shavings. Mix the mixture well and add a few drops of almond oil. Apply the product to problem areas, leave for two to five minutes, massage into the skin and wash off the composition.

You can mix a glass of sugar with three large spoons of cocoa powder and add a little olive oil to the mixture. Mix everything well and massage into the skin. It’s a good idea to leave the scrub on the body; you can even wrap it in film for a quarter of an hour. Then wash off the product with warm water. For the bran scrub, mix equal parts cocoa powder, brown sugar and bran. Dilute the mixture with olive or coconut oil and apply to the skin. For a scrub with esters, use tea tree, eucalyptus, rosemary, pine or a mixture of oils. Mix them with cocoa so that the resulting composition can be massaged into the skin.

The result is a product with an anti-cellulite effect. The results are especially noticeable after application to the hips, buttocks and other problem areas. During the procedure, tingling may occur due to the action of the esters. Massage the scrub vigorously for three minutes, cover with film and keep for a few more minutes. It is important not to overdo it: overexposure causes irritation on sensitive skin.

To a glass of small oatmeal, add a couple of large spoons of cocoa powder and three large spoons of honey. If the mixture is too dry, dilute it with water or olive oil. Apply the scrub to the body, gently massaging for ten minutes. Honey will enhance the penetration of cocoa particles. As a result, the entire surface layer will be renewed. The recipe is suitable for feet where the skin is rougher. You can use the scrub on your face, but be sure to turn the oatmeal into flour.

We use more aggressive ingredients for scrubs on the thighs, buttocks and abdomen. In addition to chocolate, it uses components for toning and moisturizing. Mix thirty-five grams of cocoa powder and one hundred grams of brown sugar. Add olive oil until it becomes a paste. Apply the composition generously to the body and massage for a couple of minutes. Leave for five minutes and rinse thoroughly under hot water.

Three orange peels on a grater. Mix thirty grams of cocoa powder with it and add twenty milliliters of sea buckthorn, almond, or grape seed oil. Apply the scrub to steamed skin and massage in. Leave for eight minutes and wash off. You can apply anti-cellulite cream to your body.

For a tightening scrub, prepare egg shells, dry them, and grind them in a coffee grinder. Mix the cream and three large spoons of cocoa powder until the paste becomes thick, add a large spoon of crushed shells and mix again. Place the mixture on problem areas and massage in. Leave for five minutes and rinse with warm water.

Chocolate hand scrub works great. To prepare, mix thirty grams of cocoa powder with a large spoon of chopped apricot kernels. Add fifteen grams of avocado oil and cocoa butter to the mixture. Add a handful of oatmeal. Apply the mixture to the brushes and massage.

Chocolate scrub is both a pleasant and healthy procedure. It nourishes and renews the skin, and saturates the body with the aroma of chocolate, emphasizing the velvety and radiance of the dermis.
