After all, even they can be presented beautifully and originally. In this article we will suggest some very simple but entertaining ideas for their design.

A rather simple, but cute and attractive solution that can be used as a gift for the New Year, Christmas or wedding is an ordinary wicker basket with chocolates and nuts, among which the main gift will be placed. For this idea you will need: a basket (you can take it from a perfume or cosmetics set), small original-shaped chocolates - medals, hearts, squares, nuts, silver paint or rich nail polish, glitter. To prepare, you need to paint the nuts and sprinkle them with glitter and let them dry. Fold the bills in half and mix all the blanks in the basket. Such a money tree can be made in two ways: embroider the tree itself or make it from paper. Which one is easier to do – decide for yourself. If you decide to make it from paper, then you will need: a white sheet, colored cardboard, pencils, thick woolen thread or ribbon, money. Initially, prepare a layout from colored paper - a trunk and leaves. Then think about how many bills you will have and where to place them. Now poke two neat holes and thread a thread through the paper so that it is enough to tie the bills. Glue the blank onto a white sheet, tie the bills rolled into a tube. If you decide that it is easier to embroider, then stretch the thread until the fabric is stretched. This option is suitable for those who like to give money in a postcard, but did not have time to purchase one. You will need: a postcard, some three-dimensional figures cut out from other postcards. Making this interesting option couldn’t be easier: stick drawings inside the postcard, tracing them with a thin layer of glue along the outer contour. A similar option that is ideal for those who give a gift with a child. For this you will need: a postcard, colored cardboard, glue, decorations can be made from what is at hand. Help your child draw a butterfly with a rather thick body, decorate the wings with rhinestones, beads, and sparkles. Let him cut it out, and you fold it so that the wings are raised. Then use a knife to cut a hole for the money, lift up the middle, and stick the rest of the body onto the card. You can additionally decorate with flowers. A little more complicated, but more interesting is the option with a bottle. To implement it you will need: special paint of two colors, shells, glue, decorations. To ensure that the bottle does not have a smooth surface, take superglue with a dense composition and randomly apply it to the front part. Now glue the decorations and paint everything with dark paint. Take a washcloth and dip it lightly into light paint, and then go over the bumps of the entire design. Roll the money into a scroll-type tube, tie it with thread and put it in a bottle. If you want to give cake and money, then you can combine these two gifts! Buy two cakes of different sizes and one empty box from the store. Cover the boxes with bright or plain paper, decorate with flowers, pearls, beads, and rhinestones as desired. In the box in which the money will be, glue a piece of corrugated napkin to the bottom, insert a bill and decorate as desired. Making such a surprise box is not at all difficult. Cut out four identical pieces of paper, fold them in half, and glue the halves together to make the bottom. Decorate the walls inside the box and write holiday wishes. Make a lid. Inside, build a pyramid of bills using tape or an elastic band. If you couldn’t make the lid square, that’s okay. Simply cut out a circle, decorate it, and secure the sides with ribbon and tie a bow. Another surprise box option for those who know how and love to work with paper. If you can’t make the box yourself, replace it with a ready-made box of chocolates, simply hiding the money between the contents.

Required tools and materials:

• 2 types of scrap paper (backgrounds for it can be found on the Internet and printed or bought ready-made);
• white and colored cardboard;
• watercolor paper;
• pencils and watercolors;
• brush, pencil, stationery knife, metal ruler, scissors;
• an inscription or picture (you can also print them yourself);
• glue (preferably “moment-crystal”);
• double-sided tape (you can limit yourself to glue);
• decorations (beads, half-beads, buttons, pendants - whatever you see fit);
• ribbon.

Performance:

1. First, using a ruler and a stationery knife, you need to cut cardboard and paper. The dimensions of paper and cardboard, as well as the principle of distribution of colored and white cardboard, are shown in detail in the photo.


2. Next, we take the largest square (18x18 cm) and line it. The next step is to do the creasing (mark the places of the folds) - in addition to a special stick, many objects are suitable for this (a non-writing pen, a plastic card, and even the handle of a simple teaspoon). I used an ice cream stick. The principle of ruling and scoring is shown in the photo.


3. The next step is to make cuts and trim off the excess.


4. And finally, we coat the necessary parts with glue and fold our main box.



So, all the most difficult things are left behind, but it’s too early to stop, because only half the way has been completed.

5. It's time to make the second part of our box, and for this we will line and crease the largest rectangle of cardboard. This must be done as shown in the photo.


6. This is the kind of box we should get. Now it's time to start decorating.


7. We glue narrow strips of paper (1x9 cm) onto strips of cardboard (1.5x9.5). The next step is to glue these double borders onto the box (2 each for the inside and outside), and also sew on a bead that will serve as a handle.


8. Now take 2 11x11 cardboard squares and two 13x13 paper squares.


9. We coat the cardboard square with glue, glue it to the wrong side of the paper and cut off the corners.


10. We fold the excess paper and glue it to the cardboard. We do the same with the second pair and get two neat squares.


11. We glue our dense squares to the outside of the box so that an equal amount of cardboard protrudes along the edges.



It's time to decorate our creation:

12. We crease a 10x20 cm cardboard rectangle and fold it in half - this will be a card for wishes.


13. Now you need to glue the ribbon and the top layer of paper - a 9x9 square.


14. We paint the inscription with a thin layer of watercolor paint, outline it along the edge with a pencil and glue it to a cardboard rectangle 0.5 cm larger than the inscription itself.


15. Flowers are great for decoration and you don’t have to buy them - you can make them yourself. Let's draw a few large flowers and a few smaller flowers on the wrong side of the watercolor paper, and then cut them out.


16. We wet our flowers with a damp brush. Immediately after this, add color to taste (saturation depends on your desire), and then we give shape to the petals - twist them around a pencil or (as in my case) the shaft of a brush.

17. Let's add clarity and volume to our flowers - lightly outline the petals and draw veins, and then glue them in pairs and stick a rhinestone or half-bead in the middle.


18. And here’s the finale: we attach all the decorative elements to the postcard, and glue the postcard itself to the box.

Our box may well become a package not only for money, but also for other small gifts, and later it will not get lost, becoming a place to store useful and pleasant little things.

At a wedding, it is customary to give the newlyweds gifts, which are most often money. This is the most practical gift for both the bride and groom and guests.

Young people will be able to decide for themselves what to buy with the donated money. And guests do not need to rack their brains over which gift for an established married couple will be more necessary.

Plus, money takes up little space.

However, it is not at all necessary to spend money on such an attribute; it is quite possible to make it yourself.

How to make a chest with your own hands?

To make a box for money for a wedding in the form of a chest with your own hands, you need to correctly measure all the details of the workpiece. After cutting off all the excess, you still need to smoothly bend the lid of the future chest.

To prevent sharp corners from forming on it, shallow horizontal cuts along the width of the box can be made on the reverse side with a stationery knife.

The chest is decorated with the same means as a rectangular box. The only difference can be considered the additional finishing of the rounded ends.

To make the finished product pleasing to the eye, it is better to cut out duplicate parts from cardboard for the side walls. In this case, the main structure and flat additional parts are glued separately. And only then the finished part is glued to the side of the chest.

· Breadboard knife (stationery knife)

Progress:

1. Lubricate the squares of drawing paper with PVA glue. Glue 12*12cm by 15*15cm, retreating 1cm from the edges

2. Cut the corners at an angle of 45 degrees, departing 2 mm from the corners of the smaller squares

3. Lubricate with glue and bend the edges. Place the resulting blanks - the lids of the boxes - under the press.

4. On a workpiece 11.2 cm * 28.5 cm, on the side 28.5 cm we apply a marking of 2.1 cm; 11.1cm; 2.1cm; 11.1cm; 2.1cm. Using these marks, we make creasing grooves (for convenience and neatness of the folds, we use a creasing tool or a covered ballpoint pen). We bend along the lines.

5. Apply glue to a small rectangle 11.2 cm * 2 cm and glue it into the indicated sector to give strength to the side wall of the box.

6. Glue the edges of the workpiece together.

7. Glue the lid blanks onto the resulting part of the box.

7. On each side of the workpiece 19*19cm we apply markings - 2cm; 2cm; 11cm; 2cm; 2cm

8. Making creasing grooves. We cut along the markings and cut off the excess.

9. Along the marked lines, bend and glue the box.

10. Using curly scissors or a hole punch from designer or other paper, cut out 2 squares of 11.5 cm * 11.5 cm. Glue with double-sided tape to the top and bottom lids of the box.

11. Cut out the base for the postcard 10cm * 20cm. We mark the middle with a crease and bend it.

12. Measure out a ribbon of about 18 cm - 2 pieces. We process the edges over the flame. Using double-sided tape, attach the ribbon to the front of the card and to the back, then attach the card to the box.

13. Cut out a square from majestic cardboard with an embossed square, 0.3 cm smaller than the size of the postcard. Glue it to the postcard using double-sided foam tape.

14. Decorate with paper flowers, braid, semi-pearls, etc. We decorate the side walls and the inside of the box.

The text of the invitation can be written on a postcard, or you can print it out on office paper, carefully cut it out with curly scissors, and glue it to the base of the card.

You can make the inscription “Happy Wedding Day” on the box with a gold-colored gel pen or buy contour stickers with a ready-made inscription at a craft store.

To make leaves or twigs shine, you can cover them with acrylic varnish.

You can make another version of the box. For it you will need:

• thick paper - cardboard, Whatman paper,
• glue,
• scissors,
• ruler, it can also serve as a scoring tool,
• narrow satin ribbon 30 cm long,

• scrap paper (instead you can use any colored paper and even thin wallpaper),
• decorative elements - lace, string of pearls, small buds of artificial flowers.

Having prepared everything you need, let's get to work:

Money chest

If you have the desire and time, you can create a wonderful wedding chest. For this you will need:

• cardboard box,
• glue,
• scissors,
• paper knife,
• scotch,
• creasing tool - it can be scissor rings, an ice cream stick, a plastic card, etc.
• paper or beautiful material for decoration (you can take beautiful wallpaper),
• decoration elements - lace, beads, etc.

1. An outline is drawn on the sides of the empty box, outlining the lid of the chest.
2. Two lines are drawn on the front side of the box: one connects the lower points of the arcs on the sides, the second indicates the height of the lid of the product.
   
   
3. By cutting off unnecessary elements, a lid format is created.
4. There are strips running along the inside of the lid at a distance of approximately 1.5 cm from each other. This is necessary to create a beautiful bend.
   
   
5. Using a sharp knife, cut off part of the box along the bottom drawn line on three sides - the back side remains intact.
   
   
6. The lid can be trimmed a little - there should be a 2-3 mm gap between it and the bottom of the chest.
   
   
7. The lid parts are secured together with tape. A stapler can be used for this purpose.
   
   
8. The excess part of the lid is removed with scissors or a sharp knife.
   
   
   
9. On the inside of the upper part, draw the outline of a slot for envelopes with money, which is then carefully cut out with a knife or scissors. To make sure the gift gets into the storage, you should purchase a standard envelope and try to see if it will fit into the slot.
   
   
   
10. Now you can start covering the chest. First, you need to cut out one large piece that will cover the front wall and two sidewalls. Don't forget to add allowances - about 5 cm on each side. The height will be equal to the height of the wall plus the same 5-6 cm for the gates.
    
    
11. After applying glue to the cut out rectangle, paste over the front part and two side parts, after which the remainder is folded onto the back.
    
    
12. Cut the corners, tuck and smooth to remove air bubbles.
13. Cut out special blanks for the sides of the lid and glue them.
    
    
    
14. Having taken measurements of the bottom, lid and back wall, cut out parts of the appropriate sizes and then glue them on.
15. A slot is made in the pasted lid by bending the ends of the paper into the prepared slot for money.
    
    
    
16. If the lid of the box turns out to be too heavy and constantly tries to lean back when opening, then you can glue a piece of tape from the inside to one of the sides. You need to measure it in such a way that it prevents the lid from falling.
    
    
17. The next step is to glue the inside of the chest. This can be done either with the same decorative paper or with beautiful material. True, the last option will have to spend a fair amount of time.
    
    
18. Take a strip of corrugated cardboard with the following dimensions: its width is 5 cm, and the length is the length of the front wall plus 2 times 2/3 of the length of the sidewall. This element is covered with the same paper as the entire craft.
    
    
    
19. Having coated it with glue to the middle, glue the strip inside the chest.
    
20. Use small scissors to carefully cut a hole for the envelopes.
