Tarasov's first wife was Oksana Ponomarenko. She did rhythmic gymnastics and was older than Dmitry. Oksana, like Dima, devoted a lot of time to training. The young people met by chance, Dmitry gave Oksana a ride by car. This happened even before Dmitry left for Tomsk.

The young couple got married in June 2012. They were called one of the most faithful and beautiful couples in the country, affectionately called “tarabuziki”. But recently this union also collapsed. Olga Buzova filed for divorce at the end of November 2016. The reason for the divorce was the infidelity of Dmitry Tarasov. His new passion was Anastasia Kostenko, Vice-Miss Russia 2014.
