We offer you four options for making a voluminous paper Christmas tree with your own hands, but if they are still not enough for you, you can experiment with the size of the trees or create your own template. The possibilities here are endless!
Option 1. Christmas trees with stars
The first option includes a large number of trees, so we suggest starting with it.
Initially print the templates below on A4 paper.

The first option assumes that you simply cut out the trees along the contour, and then cut recesses into them along the drawn lines.
Then you need to bend these strips in opposite directions through one. Thus, you have a finished three-dimensional paper Christmas tree in your hands!
For the second option, also cut out the trees along the contour. There are no drawn lines inside, which gives you the opportunity to experiment!
Here you can cut out arbitrary lines at the top and put stars below using a curly stapler. Or cut out thick lines and put stars between them, or cut out curved lines, or…. In general, your imagination will tell you, and in the photo below you can see what we came up with!
Option 2. Christmas tree with a fawn

To make this Christmas tree, first cut out the fawn, then fold the Christmas tree paper in the middle and cut it out. After this, fold the paper for a small tree from the right edge and also cut it along the contour.
If desired, glue decorative stars and snowflakes on the tree, decorate with glitter, etc.
Option 3. Glowing volumetric Christmas tree
Print the template below on standard A4 paper.

- Cut out the stars and use them as a template for the stars.

We will make a Christmas tree out of paper, which can be placed somewhere in the apartment (for example, on a table), or it will not even be a shame to give such a craft to relatives or friends. How to make a Christmas tree out of paper (1 method):
You will need green paper, a ruler, a compass, glue, scissors and a pencil (or a tube for juices and cocktails).
1. Using a compass, draw several circles on paper. Each next circle is 1-2 cm smaller than the previous one. Choose the number and size of circles yourself, depending on the size of the Christmas tree you ultimately want to see in front of you.
2. Fold each circle in half once, a second time and a third time (that is, you need to fold each circle in half three times). To ensure that the fold lines are clear, we draw along the edges with scissors.
3. Straighten the circles. We cut a hole in the center of each that matches the diameter of a pencil or tube (depending on what we will use). It is also worth saying that the circles are the tiers of our future Christmas tree.
4. Cover the pencil or tube with green or brown paper.
5. Now we begin to assemble the Christmas tree. We string all tiers onto a pencil.
6. Decorate the top of the Christmas tree with a beautiful bead or star. You can decorate the Christmas tree with sparkles if desired.
How to make a Christmas tree out of paper (method 2):
You will need green paper, scissors, pencil, glue, compass, ruler, needle, wire.
1. On green paper, draw a circle with a compass, the size of the lower tier of the future Christmas tree. Next, draw another circle inside the first circle, retreating from the first one a little more than half the radius. Using a ruler, divide the circle into 12 sectors.
2. Along the business lines, cut to the inner (second) circle.
3. We roll each sector into a cone, which we secure with glue.
4. We create the remaining blanks in a similar way, gradually reducing their size.
5. Using a needle, make a hole in the center of each workpiece.
6. Roll the bottom of the wire into a spiral.
7. We assemble all the tiers of our Christmas tree using wire. We attach a cone made of paper on top.
How to make a Christmas tree out of paper with your own hands using the quilling technique (3rd method):
You will need: green paper strips 5 mm wide and four strips 1 cm wide, red and yellow strips 3-5 mm wide, toothpicks, glue (instant and PVA).
1. We use four green strips with a length of 30, 20, 15 and 10 cm. Use a toothpick to twist them. Remove the part from the toothpick and let it unravel a little. The end of the strip is secured with PVA glue. We give all the spirals a drop shape by clamping and slightly pulling one of the ends of the spiral upward.
2. Wrap wide green stripes tightly around a toothpick and glue the tip to them, not allowing it to unravel. Our tree trunk will consist of this.
3. For the top of the tree, make a drop from a green strip 30 cm long.
4. Now we begin to assemble the Christmas tree, securing its elements with instant glue. Glue the barrel parts together and give the glue time to dry.
5. We insert a toothpick inside the trunk and glue our droplets-twigs. We start gluing with the smallest ones, which we glue to the top of the tree.
6. Make toys from yellow and pink stripes by twisting the paper without using a toothpick. You can secure the ends until the paper unwinds, or you can make the toys a little looser and give them the shape of small droplets. Glue the balls to the branches you like.
7. Glue a drop at the very top (don’t forget about it), and a decoration on it.
8. You can make a stand, if desired. To do this, you will need to make nine curls from white paper strips. Glue the curls tightly together. Now we fix the Christmas tree on a snowy white stand with glue.
How to make a Christmas tree out of paper with your own hands (4th method):
You will need: green cardboard, glue, scissors, tape, colored paints, pencils, felt-tip pens. Stickers, glitter, etc. can be used as additional decorations.
1. Bend a sheet of cardboard in half and cut it along the fold line.
2. Fold the resulting parts in half again.
3. Draw half of the Christmas tree on one of the cardboard halves located opposite the fold (see picture).
4. Fold the sheets together and cut with scissors along the drawn line. As a result, you will get two Christmas trees of similar size.
5. Mark the middle of each tree discreetly using a ruler.
6. Make a cut on one tree, starting from the top to the middle, and on the other, from the bottom (base) to the middle.
7. Insert the trees into the cuts so that you end up with one voluminous tree.
8. To give the Christmas tree more stability, use tape - use it to glue the lower and upper halves together.
9. To decorate the Christmas tree, use pencils, markers, glitter and other materials. You can use a hole punch to make small multi-colored circles, which you can then stick on the Christmas tree. You can tape a star to the top of your head.
How to make a Christmas tree out of paper (5th method):
You will need: colored cardboard, glue, scissors, a hole punch, a small stick with a diameter approximately equal to the diameter of the holes that are obtained from the hole punch, decorations to taste.
Take a rectangular cardboard, fold it several times as shown in the picture above, and then pierce it in the center with a hole punch. Then this cardboard is cut out at an angle so that the craft ends up looking like a Christmas tree (see picture). We drag our stick into the hole, and if it doesn’t hold firmly, we can secure it with glue. We decorate the Christmas tree. Decorations can be attached with glue. Such a Christmas tree can be placed somewhere (if you make a base for it), or hang it somewhere.
How to make an origami Christmas tree (method 6):
The material for such a Christmas tree will be one large magazine or several small magazines. If the magazine has a hard cover, you can simply remove it.
Do this for each page following procedure:
1. Starting at the top right corner, fold the page at a 45-degree angle.
2. Bend the sheet diagonally in half again.
3. The corner that extends below the borders of the magazine needs to be turned up.
4. We also do this procedure with the remaining pages and in the end we get a beautiful origami Christmas tree.

You will need: a clean egg tray, paints, strong thread or thin cord and a gypsy needle.

Original DIY Christmas trees made from paper chains
This Christmas tree will look good on a wall or door. Its manufacture is so simple that it does not even need explanation. This is a great option for joint family creativity.
Christmas tree made of paper in the shape of squares
You will need: cardboard, paper, a skewer, and a base into which this skewer can be stuck.
First prepare the paper squares. Decide what size the largest and smallest squares will be. You need to cut 9 squares of different sizes, each time reducing it by 5-10 mm. For example, if the largest squares have a side of 10 cm, then we need to make 9 pieces with a side of 10 cm, 9 cm, 8 cm, etc. The higher you want to make the Christmas tree, the smaller the difference between the sizes of the squares should be.
Also cut small squares of cardboard - their size should be such that they do not peek out from under the paper ones. These cardboard inserts are used to add dimension to the tree without using a lot of paper.
Insert a skewer into the base. Fold three squares of the largest size and make a hole in the center. Place them on a skewer. Now put on the cardboard square. Again three large paper squares, and after them a cardboard insert. Continue alternating cardboard and paper squares, gradually reducing their size. Each time, move the corners of the paper squares slightly clockwise.
Place a large beautiful bead or other decoration on the top and secure with glue.
To make a miniature Christmas tree using the same principle, you will need a bottle cap, an English needle and thin wrapping paper (for example, tissue paper, tissue paper or corrugated paper).
How to make a Christmas tree with your own hands from cardboard tubes
If you have enough cardboard tubes from toilet paper rolls or paper towels, make a Christmas tree that will serve as storage for small gifts or candy.
You will need 32 rolls of the same diameter and length. Paint 28 of them outside and inside with green paint, and the remaining four with brown paint and let dry. Now you need to assemble a pyramid of green tubes: glue seven pieces together with their sides. Glue a row of six tubes on top in a checkerboard pattern. Continue assembling the tree, reducing each subsequent row by one tube. You should end up with a triangle consisting of seven rows. Now glue the four brown tubes together and attach them to the bottom of the very first row of seven green tubes. All that's left to do is decorate the top of the tree with a Christmas star and you can arrange the gifts!
Using the same principle, you can make an excellent advent calendar for kids. In this case, the Christmas tree is assembled from 24 tubes. One end of each tube is closed with a paper circle with a number from 1 to 24 written on it.
How to make a 3D Christmas tree out of paper
You will need: cardboard, wire or cord, beads, glue.
Draw a template: it can be just a triangle or the outline of a Christmas tree. Cut out 6-8 identical parts and bend each one strictly in half along the center line.
Take two parts. Apply glue to half of the first piece and glue it to half of the second piece. Wait for it to dry. Apply glue to half of the third piece and glue it to the free half of the second piece. Continue until only two halves remain unglued. Make a hanging loop at the end of the cord or wire, thread the bead through and place the cord in the middle of the tree. Glue the two remaining halves together, tie a knot at the other end of the cord and trim off the excess.
Creative Christmas tree made from paper strips or circles
You will need: thick green paper for the base, double-sided multi-colored paper for the branches, glue.
First, glue together a stable cone from thick green paper. Cut double-sided colored paper into strips approximately 2.5 x 7.5 cm. Wrap one end of each strip around a pen or pencil to make a pretty curl. Now start gluing the cone with strips of paper (glue the straight end of the strip, the curl should remain free). You need to move from the bottom edge of the cone to the top. You can glue the strips in circles, or in a spiral.
The top of the Christmas tree needs to be decorated with a star - this will hide the last row of glue.
Try to experiment: take multi-colored paper instead of green, or cut out a lot of circles or bells instead of straight stripes - you’ll see, it will be very beautiful!
Another equally creative DIY Christmas tree made from paper strips
You will need: cardboard cone for the base, multi-colored paper, masking tape, glue.
Cut strips of colored paper. Their length depends on the required splendor of the Christmas tree, but do not forget that it should decrease with each tier. Cut a strip of masking tape long enough to wrap around the base of the cone. Fold the strips of paper into a loop and stick them on tape. When the entire strip of tape is filled with such loops, stick it at the base of the cone. Continue pasting the base, moving towards the top. Place a small cone at the very top to hide the last strip of tape, or decorate it with ribbons and decorations.
If you take a foam Christmas tree cone, the loops can be attached to it without tape or glue - using safety pins.
Unusual DIY Christmas trees made from paper eights
You will need: green paper (not very thin so that it can hold its shape), ribbon, cord or hook for hanging, chenille wire approximately 30 cm long, beads in the hole of which the wire will easily pass.
Cut the paper into strips 4 cm wide and 7.5 cm, 10 cm, 12.5 cm, 15 cm, 17.5 cm, 20 cm, 22.5 cm long.
Punch three small holes on each strip: 1 cm from each edge and in the center.
Make a small loop at one end of the wire and bend it at a right angle. This is necessary so that the paper strips do not slip off. Take a strip 22.5 cm long and put it on the wire in this way: through the hole at one end, through the central hole, through the hole at the other end. We got a paper eight. Push it along the wire all the way down to the end. Next, put one or two beads on the wire, then put on a strip 20 cm long, again beads, etc. Continue until you have completed the assembly with the shortest strip.
Now put on the last bead, leave a small piece of wire for the loop and trim off the excess. Make a loop and hide the tip of the wire in the top bead.
All that remains is to thread the hanging cord through the loop and you can choose a place for the Christmas tree!
If you don’t have beads, it doesn’t matter, the Christmas tree will look beautiful without them, and the fluffy pile on the chenille wire will securely fix the eights.
DIY Christmas trees from paper cones
Such trees can be made in different sizes: from large floor ones to small ones that will decorate a table or windowsill - it all depends on the height of the base and the size of the paper cones.
You will need: cardboard tube from paper towels (30 cm long), colored paper for cones (you can use wrapping paper), ribbon for a bow, tape.
Start by making cones. They should be of different sizes - the largest will be located at the base of the tree. The closer to the top, the smaller the size of the cones should be.
For a cardboard tube 30 cm long, you will need to cut 10 squares of the following sizes: 16 cm, 14 cm, 12 cm, 10 cm. Make cones from these squares and secure them along the seam with tape.
Now, using the same tape, start covering the cardboard tube with cones from the bottom up. The distance between layers is approximately 3-5 cm. The cones should be placed in a checkerboard pattern (i.e. the cone of the top layer should be above the space between the two cones of the bottom layer).
Bend the tips of the cones of the topmost layer inside the tube and secure there. Use a bow (or other decoration) to decorate the top of the Christmas tree.
Alternatively, you can mount the cones in the shape of a Christmas tree on the wall or doors.
How to make a Christmas tree out of paper using the quilling technique
Christmas trees made using this technique look unusually openwork and festive. The simplest option is a Christmas tree made from elements called “fisheye”.
To make this element, you need to roll a strip of paper into a spiral, unravel it slightly, squeeze it from two opposite ends and glue it so that it does not unravel.
Make 6 of these elements of four different sizes and assemble them into a Christmas tree pyramid. Place the largest elements at the bottom. With each row their size should decrease.
Another simple version of the Christmas tree using the quilling technique, suitable for children's creativity.
But this option is much more complicated than the previous ones, but this Christmas tree also looks much more impressive.
Original paper Christmas trees made from quilling strips
This is quite painstaking and long work, but the Christmas tree turns out fluffy - just like a real one!
You will need: quilling strips (if you don’t have them, just cut thick colored paper), skewer, glue.
Using scissors, cut one of the long sides of the quilling strips 2/3 of the way across to create a fringe. Roll each strip into a tight spiral, secure with glue so that it does not unravel, and fluff out the fringe. Draw the outline of the Christmas tree on thick paper or cardboard and fill it with the resulting balls.
Such a Christmas tree can also be made three-dimensional - you just need to make quite a lot of balls and paste them over a cardboard cone.
How to make a Christmas tree out of paper using the origami technique
You will need: thick green paper, glue, a skewer and a base into which to stick it.
Cut circles from paper with a diameter of 5 cm, 7.5 cm, 10 cm, 12.5 cm, 15 cm. Fold each circle in half 4 times and cut off the top of the resulting triangle so that you get a tiny hole. Spread out the circles. Please note: folds in the form of peaks and valleys should alternate.
Place the smallest circle on a skewer, slide it all the way and secure with glue. Continue threading and gluing circles, moving towards the largest one. Cut off the excess part of the skewer, stick it into the base and secure a bead or bow at the top with glue.
Christmas tree-shaped candy packaging

You will need: 6 candies (it’s easiest to work with cone-shaped candies), thick green paper, ribbon, glue.

Idea #1
Beautiful Christmas tree MADE OF PAPER FANS.
Even children will be happy to make such a voluminous Christmas tree. The principle of addition is very simple - you must first make fan circles of different sizes. And then string these circles onto the SAME BASE ROD (which we used in the previous Christmas tree). Or you can do it without a rod - just glue the tiers on top of each other (by dripping a drop of glue in the middle of each “floor” of the Christmas tree.
Below we see the principle of creating such fans. They are made from a long strip of paper. The strip folds like an accordion. We roll the accordion into a ring (fastened at the edges with glue). After the glue has dried - sew one side of the accordion ring with a needle and thread– we tighten the thread (very carefully so as not to break the paper) – and at the same time we place the accordion ring in a flat circle. We press on the middle of the resulting circle with some object - thereby we crush the convex ribs of the accordion so that they wrinkle and become a little flatter.
Different sizes of Christmas tree tiers are achieved by a simple principle– the narrower the accordion strip we have, the smaller the circumference of the resulting fan will be. Below in the photo you can see a detailed master class on creating such a Christmas tree from paper.
This beautiful Christmas tree is made from bright paper napkins or sheets of gift paper.
And if you put a BEAD between each tier of a paper fan tree, then we will get air, space between the tiers of the tree (as was done in the photo of the paper Christmas tree below).

Christmas tree box MADE OF PAPER.
But this method is the most convenient for beginners. Convenient in that a simple drawing here guarantees a 100% result in the form of a neat three-dimensional Christmas tree made of paper. Moreover, this tree can be used as packaging for small gifts if you hide jewelry or a bottle of perfume inside.
Since the layout of the drawing above requires a large square piece of paper, I give a more economical way to consume paper space (pattern diagram in the photo below). You can cut out the tree blades separately, two at a time. And then fold them, glue them crosswise.

BLADE Christmas tree made of cardboard.
And here is a bladed Christmas tree made of cardboard or thick paper. It's also very easy to make yourself. To create such a Christmas tree, you can use regular packaging corrugated cardboard (as in the photo below).
How many wing blades can such a cardboard Christmas tree have?
You can make a four-bladed Christmas tree by connecting two flat pieces crosswise. To do this, in each Christmas tree silhouette you need to make a cut along the central center line to the center of the Christmas tree. On one part, the cut is made on the TOP HALF of the silhouette - on the second part, the cut is placed on the LOWER HALF of the silhouette.
I found this Christmas tree stencil made from paper, but you can take any other shape of a Christmas tree with any lines of legs (smooth, rounded, curling upward, etc.).
If desired, such a herringbone cross can be placed on a base in the form of a roll of cardboard (a cut from a toilet paper roll will do). On such a roll we make 4 cuts (to the south, west, north, east) - and into these cuts we insert each of the four blades of our Christmas tree.
But a Christmas tree can have more than four blades - FOR EXAMPLE, you can make two silhouettes - 2 with a notch at the bottom and 2 with a notch at the top.
And then connect them into a Christmas tree like the one in the photo below - it will have as many as 8 blades(as in the photo below). Each blade can be covered with a different shade of green colored paper. As finishing paper, you can use gift paper with polka dots, diamonds, flowers (as in the photo below)
Using a similar paddle technique, you can make beautiful ball toys for such a Christmas tree - also from paper.
Idea No. 4
Christmas tree made of paper circles.
Here’s another idea for a voluminous paper Christmas tree. We make this Christmas tree from ordinary flat paper circles. We fold each circle multiple times along DIAMETERAL LINES. We align each fold edge with alternation - one up, one down, one up, one down, etc. Detailed master class in the photo below.
You can improve this model of Christmas tree, if, in addition to everything else, you bend half of every second such rib upward - as if forming ladle shape(how it's done in the photo of a paper Christmas tree below). And in each such curved bucket-foot he will put a bright bead. And we will get an already decorated paper Christmas tree with a beautiful three-dimensional shape.

Here we simply fold paper modules from a square napkin (the napkin is folded in half along the floors, and then unfolded and folded in half again, but this time DIAGONALLY.
Then we lay the napkin back and bend it along the lines formed so that each corner of the diagonal fold is like a separate blade.
From several of these bladed modules-tiers we create a Christmas tree - simply by gluing it onto a flat base. Often such an origami Christmas tree made of paper can be seen as an applique on a New Year's card.

Christmas tree made of PAPER,
strung ON A ROD.
If we have a rod that we have forced to stand exactly vertically and not fall, then by stringing a variety of paper silhouettes onto it, we can get a New Year’s tree craft.
The main rule that must be followed is to ensure that the lower paper silhouettes are larger than the upper ones. That is, so that the size of the parts decreases as you move up to the top of the tree.
The most important thing is to MAKE A ROD. How to quickly and easily make an axis-base from a cocktail tube, so that it turns out strong and unbending.
And here's what Christmas tree (pictured below), which is made from STRIPES of felt, but it can also be made from strips of colored paper or cardboard).
Everything is also very simple. MATERIAL: cut stripes take the colors we need cocktail tube(it’s better to insert 2 turbos one into the other to make it longer), cardboard(for the base circle), hole punch and stapler(either glue or threads with a needle. Now I’ll tell you in detail how we will make such a Christmas tree at home - with our own hands.
STEP ONE. We are preparing the base-rod for the Christmas tree craft.
And cut out 2 identical circles from cardboard. Leave one cardboard disk intact. And in the middle of the second disk we make a round hole (punch it with a nail and widen it so that a cocktail tube can fit through). Threaded into a cardboard disk cut the tube with scissors from the bottom side(vertical cuts of 1 cm - chick-chick - like we cut straws for blowing soap bubbles). We push these cuts apart like rays of the sun. And we get such a “ray-shaped spread-leg”. We place this splayed leg on the second cardboard disk (the one that remains intact, without a hole).
And now we GLUE BOTH DISCS - and it turns out that the spreading leg is now, with its rays, sandwiched and glued between the cardboard disks - and as a result, our cocktail tube stands EXACTLY VERTICALLY STRAIGHT.
STEP TWO. We string the material for the “feather” of the Christmas tree onto the rod.
Cut the tape (fabric or paper or felt) into strips. Please note that the strips are not the same length. Each pair of strips is 1-2 cm smaller than the previous pair. In the center (middle) of the strips we make holes with a hole punch (or cut them with a nail or scissors). We string the strips onto the tube-rod - first the long ones, then the shorter ones and finally the shortest ones.
And now we glue the strung strips together (or sew them with threads, or fasten them with a stapler) in pairs in order so that we get an ACCORDINATE-ZIGZAG (as seen in the photo). We attach a star to the top of the tube - we also cut out two silhouettes of the star (front and back) - so that the top of the rod is hidden between the two sides of the star.

TIERED Christmas tree
made of paper or cardboard.
And here is a nice three-dimensional Christmas tree made of cardboard. Here we also stocked up on paper circles of different sizes. The edge of the circles was made wavy. Then each circle was cut along the radius - and turned into a cone. And the cones were strung on a rod.
I’ll show you exactly how to string the cones onto a rod so that there is air between them (and so that they don’t form like little balls of each other) using the example of white lace Christmas trees made of paper, which we see in the photo below.
We will need a rod (wooden culinary skewers will do). Large beads and lace paper napkins.
To make cones from round napkins, we make a radial cut. We cut along the radius of the circle from the CENTRAL point to the edge.
The beads between the cones will prevent them from running into each other. And our Christmas tree will turn out airy.
You can make cone-shaped Christmas trees from spare pieces of wallpaper.
You can use sheets of colored office paper.

Christmas tree made of crepe paper.
Here is another beautiful children's Christmas tree made of paper. Here we need a BASE for the Christmas tree in the form of a tall paper CONE. We cut out a semicircle from paper and roll it into a consu bag.
Cut the crepe paper for long wide ribbons. Then along the paper tape make fringe cuts. Next, we wrap our paper consu with this paper ribbon with fringe - starting from the bottom and gradually in a spiral, turn by turn, moving towards the top. Each incised twist the petal into a curl.
This Christmas tree craft is suitable for classes at school or a Skillful Hands mug in kindergarten.

And here is another Christmas tree made on the basis of a tall cardboard cone. We buy whatman paper (a large sheet of paper) - cut out a semicircle - bend the semicircle into a cone.
Here the main monotony of labor is cutting multi-hundred circles. And then there is a gradual pasting of these circles in the form of scales - starting from the bottom rows of the cone and gradually moving to the top of the tree-cone. Children who often sit idle in anticipation of the New Year holidays will be happy to be distracted by such a children's New Year's tree craft. And this will benefit you, no one will hang around the kitchen and disturb you in preparing the New Year's table.
Such a cone-tree can be placed on a long stem-leg. And place the rod on a plasticine pedestal. We make a thick round cake from plasticine. We bury the base of the rod in plasticine. We decorate the plasticine sole with cardboard and pieces of moss or other natural material (bark, peeled pine cone scales, etc.).
Pasting a Christmas tree-cone can be done loops made from strips of paper. Or if you are too lazy to cut the paper, you can buy a long roll of textile tape, cut it into pieces, bend each piece into a loop and glue it onto a cardboard cone - also in rows from bottom to top.
Can be done made of fabric (or paper) triangular folds. Fold the square in half diagonally, and in half again. Layer the corners of the triangle on top of each other so that the triangle curls up like a ladle. We will glue the side of the ladle to the cone-base of the tree.
As you can see, you don't have to use fabric - you can use regular colored paper, crumpled crepe paper, or even newspaper (and then spray paint it).
You can also use it to cover a Christmas tree. paper cupcake cups. How this is done in the figure below. This children's craft will be a real New Year's entertainment for your children. Simple and fast - and very beautiful.

And here is another Christmas tree based on a paper cone. Here, small paper shavings are used as material for gluing the cone. You may find these shavings in boxes used to ship fragile items. Or cut such straws with office paper scissors yourself - make a large pile of shavings and decorate the Christmas tree using regular PVA glue.
We also glue pine cones and Christmas balls onto the cone - we plant them on hot glue from a glue gun(sold in the construction departments of the store - costs $5, the glue for it is very cheap in the form of rods).
The Christmas tree can be placed on a pedestal made of round log cuts. And crown it with a star. You don’t have to buy it either - you can make such a star with your own hands from ordinary newspaper paper. I explained how such a star is made in the article.
This is also good option for a simple children's craft for the New Year. Because it's simple, easy and fast. Ideal for a 20-minute lesson in the “Skillful Hands” circle. The main thing is to prepare cones, straws and decorative material in advance.

Christmas tree
from paper rolls.
Here is a Christmas tree made from paper rolls. We roll up rolls from ordinary sheets of paper (even from office drafts), attach them with a stapler or glue (so as not to unfold).
In the photo below we see that an ordinary glass goblet (or a jam vase) was used as a stand for such a voluminous rolled Christmas tree.
Using this principle, you can make a bright Christmas tree if you roll rolls from colored table napkins.
You can put a rolled Christmas tree on a long stick and stick it into a flower pot with soil.

Christmas tree using QUILLING technique.
(4 ways from flat to voluminous)
And here are paper Christmas trees made using the QUILING technique. They can be flat as in the photo below.
It's simple.
STEP1 - paper is cut into strips.
STEP 2 - Each strip is twisted around a quilling rod (or a simple toothpick).
STEP 3 - The twist fits into the circle-hole of the stencil - and inside this round frame of the hole we relax the twist (so that it unrolls slightly, but within the specified size).
STEP 4 - Next, we carefully remove the twist from the stencil and seal its tail (so that the twist does not unwind further, but maintains the size specified by the stencil. This way we will get round twists of the same size.
STEP 5 - Then we take a round twist and with our fingers we set the SHAPE of the twist - it can be DROP-SHAPED (as in the photo with the herringbone below). And from such twists we glue our Christmas tree out of paper.
Such a children's craft can be offered during classes in a school creativity club. You can do it together with grandmothers and children for a competition in kindergarten.
The corners of the droplets can be slightly bent upward (as in the photo of the Christmas tree below).

But here is a Christmas tree made of paper using the same technique - where quilling modules are glued not to a sheet of paper, but to themselves - that is, they are stuck together with their sides facing each other. And such gluing of paper twists is laid in two layers

Quilling twists can be placed on the rod. We make a rod from cardboard onto the edges of which we will glue the twists. Here we see a striped herringbone, where the twist modules are attached to a central cardboard rod.
But here is a herringbone where the central cardboard rod has a hexagonal cross-section - that is, this rod has 6 sides and 6 edges. On these flat sides we attach the base of paper droplets. Please note that here the droplets are of different sizes - at the bottom there are large twists (made according to a large stencil-hole), and at the top there are smaller ones. We attach a rhinestone to the tip of each droplet.
You can glue the twist droplets with their sides down, as was done on the Christmas tree in the picture below.
Quilling twist can be placed around a round rod - and put the modules in a horizontal plane (as in the photo of a paper quilling Christmas tree below).
Fastening modules to a round rod will serve another flat strip of paper the same color. First we wrap the paper around the rod on glue– we leave the tails sticking out on both sides of the rod – and between these tails there are stripes We put our finished twist and hug it with our tails - gluing them to the twist. In order for such fasteners to hold better – we repeat it with another strip of paper (and, if necessary, with another strip) - this way our twist will ideally keep its horizontal plane.
You can make a simple quilling Christmas tree from weak loops and curlicues from cardboard or thick non-quilling paper (as done in the photo below).

You can glue the twist modules not onto the rod, but onto a classic cone base.
The cone can be round(as in the photo above). Or the cone may have rectangular section– that is, have ribs and flat sides (as in the photo below). On such planes cone-pyramid convenient to apply any quilling patterns. And we will get a patterned 3D Christmas tree.
You can involve children in this craft. They will be happy to add modules. And then they will help you paste them over the Christmas tree pyramid. A good children's New Year's craft.

Christmas tree made from bushings

Here's another idea for a paper Christmas tree. Here, the material used is rolls of cardboard and paper of different diameters. You can use rolls of adhesive tape and masking tape, supplement them with cardboard rolls from toilet paper (shortening them to the height of the adhesive rolls), you can use narrow tubes from office fax paper (also cut into short lengths). Twist homemade cardboard rolls.
And from such prefabricated material, fold and glue a Christmas tree. Rolls can be glued together using a glue gun or double-sided tape. A simple craft that children will enjoy participating in.
You can only use toilet paper rolls that are the same size. And make a pyramid-shaped Christmas tree out of them. First, we paint the rolls green, dry them, and glue them. To prevent the gouache paint from sticking to your hands and staining your clothes, you need to spray the dyed and dried rolls with hairspray - the paint will set and the color will become brighter.
We put a Christmas ball inside each roll (you can just put it or you can hang it from the hole in the roll) - you can use it instead of a ball put a large candy in a shiny wrapper. You can decorate the side of such a Christmas tree made of paper rudons with glass beads for New Year's beads.
If you start collecting rolls in advance and involve the entire staff of your company, then you can make a very tall, large Christmas tree to decorate the office.
Here's another way to construct a Christmas tree from paper rolls. There is a more economical consumption of material here, since the herringbone empty inside. They're just made from rolls rings– (rolls just stick together in a round dance with your sides. And then like this round dance rings made from rolls are placed on top of each other and New Year's Christmas balls are placed in their bells. We first paint the rolls in the desired color.

Making a Christmas tree
Cut a triangle from green cardstock. It can be quite wide.
Fold the triangle in half.
You can do all this without any preparatory measures. But if the children are small, it is better for them to draw the necessary lines: a line parallel to the fold, up to which you need to cut the strips and the lines of the strips themselves. The width of the stripes depends on the size of the Christmas tree.
When opened, the workpiece looks like this. You can fold the strips in this state, but I find it more convenient when folded.
That is, return the Christmas tree to its original state, when it was folded in half, and then, starting from the top, bend two strips back at once, skip a section and bend again. And this alternation must be continued to the very bottom. There is no need to bend the lowest strip; it will later become a stand for the Christmas tree.
The bottom two strips need to be rolled into rings and glued. First we fold one and glue it, and then the second.

Decorating the Christmas tree
You can decorate the Christmas tree at your own discretion: with paper balls, diamonds, stars, ready-made decor and stickers. But it will be useful for children to make very simple crumpled toys from crepe paper.
You can take a variety of leftovers from past works; if you don’t have them, cut a lot of small strips or squares.
Then crumple each of them and squeeze them into a small ball.
